About the role Musgrave Hill Community Children's Centre is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef/Cook to join our dynamic team. In this part-time role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for the children in our care. Located in Southport, QLD, our not-for-profit community child care centre provides a warm and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow.
What you'll be doing
<ul>
<li>Preparing a variety of healthy, balanced meals and snacks for the children</li>
<li>Ensuring all food preparation and storage adheres to food safety and hygiene standards</li>
<li>Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment</li>
<li>Assisting with the procurement of food supplies and inventory management</li>
<li>Providing a positive and engaging mealtime experience for the children</li>
</ul>
What we're looking for
<ul>
<li>Relevant qualifications in commercial cooking or catering</li>
<li>Experience working as a cook or chef in a childcare or similar setting</li>
<li>Knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and dietary requirements for young children</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Ability to work collaboratively within a team</li>
<li>Enthusiasm for creating delicious, nutritious meals for children</li>
</ul>
